John Dirks Jr
What do you call the boxes that the flex ducts connect to? I keep thinking distribution trunk. Is that correct? Click to Enlarge 50.61 KB
Robert Jones
I have always referred to it as the main trunk line.
John Dirks Jr
I have always referred to it as the main trunk line. Hmm. Well the main trunk is steel and comes up into the attic. From there a larger flex duct carries airflow to this box which has two smaller distribution lines feeding rooms. So, its part of the distribution system but I think main trunk for this part is not as specific as one could get.
inspector57
I would use distribution box. Those are ready made so you might find an HVAC supplier with on line catalog for something more impressive.
Nolan Kienitz
I've always used: "Ductboard Distribution Box" They are made out of "ductboard" and they "distribute" ... Like JL noted ... some company may have a fancier name in their catalog.
