They are coming out of the settlement cracks in his garage floor this fall. Any idea what they are? Apparently most active in the evening not during daylight hours. Tom Breslawski Posted October 17, 2016 Report Share Posted October 17, 2016 That's a pill bug. Not sure what the technical name is, but I've always referred to them as pill bugs. They like the dark and like moisture. They live on decomposing wood. I see them in and around old houses all the time. Turn over an old log and you'd probably see some of them under there. Those of us who have big brothers know the routine, that is, humiliation at every opportunity toward little bro', who, since cave man days, presents a threat.
